Little Makers Charity Build
Turn a box of wooden parts into toys and games for children who need them.

About
Little Makers Charity Build gives your group a hands-on way to do something good together. Each team becomes a small toy workshop with one mission: produce well-made wooden toys that will end up in the hands of local children.
The challenge begins with a box of mixed wooden parts and a set of 3D plans. Before a single piece is joined, teams work out what they have, agree how the work will flow and give every person a clear role on their production line.
Each toy must pass a quality check before it moves on to painting and decorating, so care matters as much as speed. Once the toys are ready, teams invent simple learning games that make the most of them and show them off in a relaxed finale.
Every toy and game is then donated to a children’s charity, school or home, so the afternoon ends with something real to be proud of.
Learning outcomes
This program turns everyday teamwork into something you can see and hold. Teams find out quickly that a clear plan and well-defined roles produce better toys, faster, than everyone building at once.
The quality check puts shared standards in the spotlight. When a toy does not pass, the team has to talk it through, fix it and keep the line moving, a familiar challenge in any workplace.
Designing the games asks people to think about the real end user: a child who will play with what they have made. It is a gentle but powerful reminder to keep the customer in mind.
Knowing the work will be donated gives the session a strong sense of purpose. Groups leave with a warm feeling, a shared story and a clearer picture of how teamwork and giving back can go together.
