Giant Marionette Crew
Nine controls, one giant puppet and a team that has to move as one.

About
Giant Marionette Crew is equal parts engineering challenge and comedy show. Teams collect kits and props, then study the construction instructions together.
They split into sub-teams to build the different parts of the puppet. The pieces are assembled, the controls attached and the whole figure decorated, until it stands taller than the people who made it.
Then the real challenge begins. Using nine controllers, the team stands the puppet up and tries to make it perform simple human actions. Every movement needs several people working in sync, so even a wave has to be broken into careful steps.
Each team becomes a nerve center, aiming to wow colleagues with a smooth, effortless performance. In the finale, every puppet attempts a popular dance move, and the room usually erupts.
Learning outcomes
Giant Marionette Crew involves everyone in strategy and project planning, both while building the puppet and while bringing it to life.
Moving the puppet takes sharp teamwork, crystal-clear communication and constant process improvement. Because nobody can move it alone, every person's contribution is visible and valued. Teams that agree on a leader for each movement quickly improve their coordination.
But it is not all serious business. Picture each person controlling a different body part while the team tries to walk, wave or blow a kiss, and you can imagine the laughter.
The finale keeps the fun going. Along the way, teams experience how a complex task becomes possible when it is broken into small steps and everyone plays their part in perfect time. Groups often keep laughing about their puppet's moves for weeks.

How many people control each puppet?
Each puppet has nine controllers, so many hands are needed for every move.
