Hanoi: a planning guide for corporate groups

Why Hanoi works for company events

Hanoi has a wide choice of international hotels, ballrooms and meeting rooms, good flight connections, and a city center compact enough to explore in an evening. In one trip, a group can hold a conference, run a team building program, see the Old Quarter by cyclo and celebrate at a gala dinner, without long transfers.

Areas to know

Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake

The historic heart: narrow streets, street food, the lake and evening life. Ideal for cyclo tours, street food trails and the water puppet show.

French Quarter

Wide boulevards, the Opera House and many of the city’s classic hotels.

West Lake (Tay Ho)

A quieter area with lakeside hotels, restaurants and space for evening events.

My Dinh and the west

Newer business districts with large convention venues and modern hotels.

Seasons at a glance

  • Autumn (September to November): warm, drier, the best season for outdoor events
  • Winter (December to February): cool to cold and grey; peak year-end party season
  • Spring (March to April): mild with drizzle, turning pleasant in April
  • Summer (May to August): hot and humid with afternoon storms; plan indoors or early and late

Team building in Hanoi

Hanoi offers both city and venue-based programs: races through the Old Quarter, creative and AI challenges in hotel ballrooms, CSR builds, and outdoor games at resorts on the edge of the city. Browse our team building events.
