About

Step aboard a world of daring pirate trade and diplomacy. This fast-paced program immerses teams in negotiation, information gathering and networking, challenging groups to build successful alliances while protecting their own interests.

Each team captains a pirate ship loaded with valuable cargo, trading with other crews in port to grow their fortune. Success depends on forming genuine connections, extracting key market intelligence, and knowing when to trust – and when to walk away.

The exciting, theatrical setting – complete with cutlasses, bandanas and eye patches – creates an electric atmosphere from the very first minute. But beneath the fun lies a serious challenge in relationship building, strategic thinking and the real cost of broken trust.

This flexible, high-energy program suits large groups and works equally well indoors or outdoors, making it an ideal icebreaker for large-scale gatherings.

Learning outcomes

This high-energy challenge tests negotiation skill and quick thinking as teams trade and bargain to maximize their profits. Though inherently competitive, the most successful teams are those that collaborate with rivals to create mutually beneficial deals while staying focused on their core objectives.

Participants learn to read situations quickly, build trust with unfamiliar partners, and gather critical information without revealing too much of their own strategy. These are the same skills that drive successful business negotiations and client relationships in the real world.

During the debrief, winning strategies are shared openly across all teams, turning competition into shared learning. Groups leave with practical takeaways on negotiation tactics, networking techniques and the balance between competition and cooperation.

Facilitators tie these lessons directly back to the workplace, helping participants see how the trust-building and deal-making skills practiced during the activity translate into stronger client relationships and business outcomes.
